Yaralla Open Days: There are up to 20 tours through the main building at Yaralla as well as roughly the same number of grounds tours.

Thomas Walker (Rivendell) Open Days: There are up to 15 tours through the main building and outer buildings at Thomas Walker Convalescent Hospital

Each of these tours requires a guide.

In addition there are approximately 20 people, working in shifts, serving Devonshire teas and another 6 working in other ways around the area.

ONGOING WORK: Members and other volunteers have also undertaken the cleaning up or different areas around the estate, including removal of undergrowth and feral trees.

Work has also been undertaken on other structures around the estate.

There is always work to be done and we are always looking for extra volunteers.

WOULD YOU LIKE TO HELP?

If you would like to become involved in our work, volunteers are always welcome.

Tour Guides are always needed - we supply you with guide books which contain most of the information you needed. Our regular guides are always ready to train and teach you the ropes

If you feel that you would not be comfortable with guiding, we can always use Devonshire Tea helpers, no experience necessary, just taking orders, preparing food and washing up – men and women welcome.

Offers of assistance in any other way is also very welcome .
